Ultimus™ V Nordson EFD

Product code: 7012590

Overview:

Ideal for applications that involve two-part epoxies, UV-cure adhesives, and other fluids that thicken over time or get thinner as ambient temperatures rise, the Ultimus V delivers consistent, repeatable deposits.

With an intuitive RS232 interface, the Ultimus V provides full electronic control of dispense time, pressure, and vacuum settings for exceptionally accurate deposits. Users can program patterns with up to three different shot sizes. The easy-to-program system keeps critical fluid dispensing processes consistent from start to finish.

Full Operator Lockout
Operator lockout of the time, pressure, and vacuum settings prevents accidental modification of dispensing parameters for greater process control. Plus, with full display of all dispensing settings on the unit process monitoring is much easier.

The Optimeter™ Advantage
For applications that require even greater fluid dispensing control, the patented Optimeter increases accuracy and consistency through precise mechanical regulation of air pressure and volume as the piston travels. It automatically increases airflow as the syringe barrel empties, providing full-to-empty compensation so that deposit consistency is the same from the beginning to the end of the syringe barrel.

Compensate for Changing Fluid Viscosity
The Ultimus V dispenser has the ability to store up to 400 dispensing parameters into memory cells, each one storing Dispense Time, Dispense Pressure, Vacuum, and Trigger values. Using the Auto Increment mode users can set up the dispenser to automatically move to the next set of dispensing parameters to compensate for changing fluid viscosity and maintain a consistent process.

Compatible Fluids

The Ultimus V dispenser can be used with nearly any type of assembly fluid. Some materials are so abrasive they would render a dispense valve obsolete within a shift or two. In this case, fluid dispensers are a better option since they dispense from a disposable syringe barrel and dispense tip that are thrown away after each use.

Compatible fluids include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhesives

  • Cyanoacrylates

  • Epoxies

  • Greases

  • Oils

  • Sealants

  • Silicones

  • Solder Paste
